3.2.2.29 | thymine-mismatched double-stranded DNA + H2O | the recombinant enzyme shows a significant preference for G/T mispairs in a CpG context. The enzyme is also capable of processing mismatches between thymine and 6-O-methylguanine, whereby it generates an apyrimidinic site opposite the modified guanine. TDG preferentially addresses 6-O-methyl G/T mispairs when the neighboring base 5' to the 6-O-methyl G is a C rather than a G. TDG is the only enzyme present in the HeLa nuclear extracts capable of processing G/T mispairs in oligonucleotide substrate | Homo sapiens | thymine + double-stranded DNA with abasic site | - |
